Gautam Salhotra

Gautam Salhotra is an experienced robotics professional currently serving in Robotics R&D at Intrinsic since May 2023, while also pursuing a PhD at the University of Southern California from 2018 to 2024. Previous roles include Applied Scientist Intern at Amazon Global Robotics, Robotics Research Intern at Bosch USA, and Senior Robotics Controls Engineer at Symbotic, where responsibilities encompassed designing and testing algorithms for robot manipulators. Gautam's early career includes positions as a Simulink Content Specialist at The MathWorks, Graduate Research Assistant at Applied Research Laboratories, and Mechanical Engineering Intern at Siemens Mobility USA. Academically, Gautam holds a PhD in Robotics from the University of Southern California, a Master's in Computer Science from the Georgia Institute of Technology, a Master's in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin, and a dual Bachelor's and Master's in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay.
