About the Role
As a Brand Manager for this CPG start-up in the health and wellness space, you will have a unique opportunity to come in at the ground floor and play a leading role in helping to manage, build, and grow our brands to reach their full potential. You will work across a broad portfolio of brands that improve consumer's lives. This role requires someone who is highly motivated, has great communication skills and quantitative skills, and has experience in driving brand growth, especially in eRetailers like Amazon.
In this role, you will lead the end-to-end brand strategy and execution for the brands in your portfolio, including managing the brand P&L, advertising, promotions, content/SEO, and new product innovation. You will wear lots of hats and will be the brand leader, but you will also partner closely with the Supply Chain team for inventory management and innovation, and with the central marketing operations team members for specialized media or content development.
Intrinsic is headquartered in New York City. While most of the team live locally and work on a hybrid model, we are also open to considering fully remote candidates as well.
What You’ll Do
- Marketing Strategy and P&L Management: Build the marketing plan for your brand, set the forecast, and manage the ongoing business end-to-end to drive topline sales and profit growth for your brand.
- Advertising, Promotions, and Pricing: Lead strategy for Amazon search, other eRetail media, and promotions, deals, and coupons, and optimize everyday and promotional pricing.
- Innovation: Build your brand portfolios by setting the innovation strategy, and designing and launching new products to drive trial, household penetration, and build basket size, partnering closely with the supply chain team to source new products.
- Channel Expansion: Selectively expand to new eRetail channels, new geographies, or DTC to improve physical and mental availability for your brands.
- Packaging and Content: Apply best in class content optimization strategies to help your brand stand out from the competition and improve conversion rates.
What You’ll Need
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree
- 2-4 years of experience in marketing strategy and execution for consumer packaged good brands, with significant experience driving strategies and sales growth on Amazon, and good knowledge of other retail channels.
- Strong knowledge of both brand building and eRetail fundamentals, with an understanding of how eRetail media fits into the broader strategy for driving page visits and conversions.
- Experience working in a role that balanced brand strategy and eCommerce skills, including but not limited to traditional brand management roles at consumer packaged goods companies, roles in media buying or brand strategy at eCommerce-focused agencies, or from personally having built and grown your own small or medium sized brand on Amazon.
- Comfort with ambiguity and building and designing new brand management and marketing processes to scale as we grow the business and the company.
- Experience in health and wellness brands is a plus, but is not required (vitamins, supplements, oral care, skin care, mom/baby products, pet products, etc.)
