Danya Glabau has a diverse work experience, beginning with a role as a Museum Associate at the Museum of the Earth in 2006. Danya then worked as an Administrative Assistant for the Northeastern IPM Center in 2009, followed by a role as a C-Print Captionist at Cornell University in 2007. From 2010 to 2017, Glabau was a Graduate Student Researcher, Instructor, and Teaching Assistant at Cornell University, as well as a Writing Tutor. In 2015, they became a Faculty at the Brooklyn Institute for Social Research, a Co-Founder and Advisor at Intrommune Therapeutics, an Advisor at Allovate Therapeutics, and an Advisor at Immunovent, LLC. From 2017 to 2018, Glabau was an Industry Assistant Professor and Director of Science and Technology Studies (STS) at NYU Tandon School of Engineering, and a Visiting Industry Assistant Professor and Interim Director of STS. Danya also served as an Adjunct Instructor in Fall 2017, teaching a course on the history, sociology, and anthropology of medicine. In 2018, Glabau founded Implosion Labs, LLC, an ethnographic research company specializing in user and strategy research for the technology and health care sectors.
Danya Glabau has a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Science and Technology Studies (STS) from Cornell University, a Master of Arts (MA) in Science and Technology Studies (STS) from Cornell University, and a BA in Biology and French from Cornell University.
