Jolene Mattson

Head of Process Engineering at Intropic Materials

Jolene Mattson has a diverse range of work experience. Starting in 2000, they worked as a Lineperson at Minuteman Aviation Inc for a year. In 2001, they served as a Server at MAMA'S ROYAL CAFE while also working as a Personal Care Attendant for a private patient. In 2007, they worked as an Undergraduate Researcher in the Ecological Engineering division at Berkeley Lab. Jolene continued their research work in 2010 as a Volunteer Undergraduate Researcher in the Fuels Synthesis Division at the Joint BioEnergy Institute.

From 2011 to 2015, Jolene worked as a Process Engineer at Amyris, Inc, focusing on developing downstream processes for the recovery and purification of fermentation-derived specialty chemicals. Following that, they joined Ripple Foods in 2015 as a Process Engineer before being promoted to Process Development Manager in 2016. At Ripple, they directed pilot-scale operations and development for the protein business, managing a team of engineers and technicians.

In 2020, they transitioned to Diamond Foundry as a Process Engineer, where they specialized in the manufacturing of diamonds using plasma reactor technology. Finally, in 2022, they became the Head of Process Engineering at Intropic Materials. Throughout their career, Jolene has consistently displayed expertise in process development, research, and engineering roles in various industries such as aviation, food manufacturing, biotechnology, and materials production.

Jolene Mattson began their education in 2006 at Laney College, where they obtained an Associate of Science degree. However, the field of study for this degree is unknown. Jolene then transferred to the University of California, Berkeley in 2008, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering. Jolene completed their studies at Berkeley in 2010. Additionally, in May 2004, they obtained a certification as a Private Aircraft Pilot from Oakland Flyers.
