Selena Li started their work experience in 2020 at Brit Insurance as a Technical Consultant. In this role, they collaborated with UCL teams to develop algorithmic trading tools for the insurance industry, including implementing the Ki automated trading system and building automation tools on Azure DevOps and Databricks. Selena worked on tasks such as generating backtest tearsheets for insurance industry analysis and organizing installation and deployment processes.
Following their time at Brit Insurance, Selena joined GUANGHUA CULTURES ET MEDIA as a Web Developer. Selena created web applications for various clients using the Nuxt framework built in Vue.js and retrieved backend data from REST APIs through Axios or PHP based on their requirements. Additionally, they were responsible for implementing and managing MySQL databases for each web application.
