Arpita Kar

Arpita Kar, Ph.D., is a seasoned data scientist currently serving as a Staff Data Scientist at Intuit since July 2024. Prior to this role, Arpita was a Senior Manager in Artificial Intelligence at Bell from September 2020 to July 2024, where leadership included a team of 13 data scientists focused on predictive modeling and machine learning techniques to reduce household churn. Additional experience includes roles as an Associate Educator at BrainStation, a Data Science Fellow at Insight Data Science, and various teaching and research positions at Queen's University, culminating in a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Algebra and Number Theory. Arpita holds a Master's degree in Mathematics and Statistics from Queen's University and a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from Chennai Mathematical Institute.
