Nishant Verma

Nishant Verma serves as Staff Data Scientist and Technical Lead Manager at Verily since April 2019, where responsibilities include leading data science initiatives and developing machine learning algorithms for various products and research projects. Previously, Nishant was a Senior Computer Vision Engineer at Verily, focusing on AI algorithm development for computational photography, resulting in multiple patents for innovative videography technologies. From July 2015 to March 2019, Nishant worked as a Senior Computer Vision Scientist at Inspirata, Inc., where contributions involved developing digital pathology products and machine learning algorithms for patient treatment guidance. Nishant's academic foundation includes a Ph.D. in Biomedical Informatics from The University of Texas at Austin, where groundbreaking work was conducted on algorithms for tracking Alzheimer's disease through 3D brain MRI scans. Additional experience includes roles at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, and the European Bioinformatics Institute.
