Vinit Samel

Vinit Samel is an accomplished engineering leader with extensive experience in software engineering and management. Currently at Intuit since January 2020, Vinit has transformed the company’s Observability Platform to prioritize customer needs while building high-performing teams that have received the Engineering Excellence Award seven times. Vinit has played a critical role in achieving an 80% reduction in mean time to detect incidents across the organization. Prior experience includes serving as Director of Engineering for Payments at Zego, where Vinit oversaw development, quality, and site reliability functions, and as Senior Manager for TurboTax Season Readiness at Intuit, delivering multiple successful tax seasons. Vinit also held senior roles at Mitchell International, Smith Micro Software, NextWave Wireless, and Qualcomm. Educational credentials include an MBA in Strategic Management and Entrepreneurship, an MS in Computer Science from San Diego State University, and a BE in Information Technology from the University of Mumbai, supplemented by a Deep Learning Foundations Nanodegree from Udacity.
