Edilson de Aguiar

Edilson de Aguiar is a highly experienced computer vision and machine learning engineer with a strong background in applying AI technologies to robotic and medical devices. Currently serving as a Staff Computer Vision / ML Engineer at Intuitive since September 2024, Edilson previously worked as a Senior Computer Vision / ML Engineer at Humane™, focusing on deep learning model development for the AI Pin. Prior roles include Principal Computer Vision Engineer at Ziteo Medical, where research centered on real-world perception systems, and Senior Computer Vision Research Engineer at Intrinsic and Vicarious, both emphasizing 3D scene reconstruction and intelligent robotic applications. Edilson holds a Dr-Ing in Computer Science from Universität des Saarlandes and completed a PhD internship at Stanford University.
