Hidenori Shikata

Hidenori Shikata is a highly experienced software engineer with a strong background in algorithm development and image processing, specializing in medical imaging technologies. Currently serving as a Managing Staff Software Engineer at Intuitive since December 2019, Hidenori previously held the position of Sr. Staff Software Engineer and Software Manager at VytronUS, Inc., where contributions included deep learning-based ultrasound image processing and 3D model reconstruction. Earlier career experience includes roles at GE Healthcare, U-Systems, Inc., and Ziosoft, focused on developing advanced image processing algorithms for breast ultrasound and conducting significant research in image analysis. Hidenori began academic contributions at Yamaguchi University and The University of Iowa while earning a Ph.D. in Computer Science from The University of Osaka.
