Thomas Kurz

Thomas Kurz has a diverse work experience in Lean and Six Sigma methodologies. Thomas has worked as a Lean Principal Engineer at Invacare Corporation since 2016, where they focus on designing and manufacturing medical products. Prior to that, they held various roles at Diebold Inc from 2006 to 2016, including Senior Manager Service Transformation, Business Process Manager, and Lean Manufacturing Manager. Thomas also worked at Exide Technologies as a Lean Leader/Six Sigma Black Belt from 2004 to 2006, and at Alcoa as an Alcoa Business Systems Manager from 2003 to 2004. Additionally, they worked at Goodrich as a Lean Supply Chain Development Team Leader and Business Improvement Manager from 1999 to 2002. Overall, Kurz has a strong background in implementing Lean methodologies across different industries.

Thomas Kurz holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from Youngstown State University. In addition to their degree, they have obtained various certifications including a Competent Communicator certification from Toastmasters International in 2014, a Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt certification from Villanova University in 2010, a Black Belt certification from SSA & Company in 2005, a Green Belt certification from Rath & Strong / TRW in 1999, and a Lean Leader certification from Delta Point, Inc. in 1995.
