Jeffrey Layman

Jeffrey Layman is an experienced scientist with a background in plant biology and extensive experience in agricultural research and safety. Currently serving as an Associate Scientist and Safety Officer at Invaio since October 2021, Jeffrey has successfully integrated a new team into existing processes and mentored five research associates. Previously, as a Senior Research Associate at Novozymes, Jeffrey developed in planta assays for evaluating microbial inoculates and led lab efforts for new product development. Jeffrey's early career includes roles at Addecco at Syngenta, Astrix Technology Group at BASF, and Agarigen, where responsibilities ranged from managing greenhouse operations to isolating microbial strains. Jeffrey holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Plant Biology from North Carolina State University.
