Amy Swonger

Amy Swonger currently serves as a Principal at Invariant since April 2021, after previously holding key positions including Director of Legislative Affairs and Assistant to the President at The White House from March 2017 to January 2021. Prior to this, Amy was involved in government relations as a Member at Invariant from November 2015 to March 2017 and as a Senior Manager at EY from January 2008 to October 2015. Amy's extensive experience in legislative affairs also includes roles such as Whip Liaison for the Senate Majority Whip and Deputy Director of Legislative Affairs for the Vice President. Amy's career in government relations began in the U.S. House of Representatives as a Legislative Assistant and has included significant positions in the United States Senate and The Mercury Group. Amy graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies and Spanish from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1996.
