Zack Artist

Zack Artist is an experienced biomedical engineer currently serving as the Lead Biomedical Engineer and Ligō Technical Lead at Inventia Life Science since August 2018, where professional roles have included Senior Biomedical Engineer and Biomedical Engineer, alongside responsibilities as Ligō project manager. Prior to this, Zack Artist gained valuable experience as a Guest Researcher at IMTEK, University of Freiburg, focusing on biomedical microtechnology and the development of an innovative ceramic package for implantable neurostimulators. Additional experience includes serving as a Course Demonstrator at UNSW for the Engineering in Medicine course, an internship with the Australian Vision Prosthesis Group where involvement included the development of the Phoenix 99 bionic eye prototype, and volunteering with Engineering World Health to enhance healthcare infrastructure in Nicaragua. Zack Artist holds a Master’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering and a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from UNSW, along with ongoing studies in Mechanical and Biomedical Engineering at Louisiana State University.
