Maarten Kwakernaak

Maarten Kwakernaak is a seasoned investment professional currently serving as a Senior Investment Manager at Invest-NL since October 2019, after holding roles as an Investment Manager and Business Development Manager within the same organization. Prior experience includes a position at KPMG Nederland from February 2015 to September 2019 as an Associate in the Deal & Growth Strategy team, where Maarten specialized in commercial due diligence and business strategy for corporate clients and private equity. Prior to KPMG, Maarten contributed to TU Delft as a Graduate Student focusing on systems integration projects and as a Student Assistant in collaborative research on airport regions. An internship at HSM Steel Structures involved project management on a major bridge project, and an early role at Inwijs included providing educational support in economics and mathematics. Maarten holds a Master of Science in Construction Management & Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Architecture, Urbanism & Building Sciences from Delft University of Technology, complemented by a minor in Security, Safety and Justice from Leiden University and Delft University of Technology.
