Lara Skwarek

Lara Skwarek, Ph.D., is an experienced investment professional specializing in the life sciences and healthcare sectors. Currently serving as an Investment Principal at Invest Nova Scotia since July 2022, Lara Skwarek is responsible for identifying and supporting prospective investment opportunities within Nova Scotian start-ups. Lara Skwarek also operates as an Investment Associate for SciComm Clarity Consulting and previously held roles such as Founder at Innovacorp and Scientific Consultant at Eva Garland Consulting. Earlier career experiences include positions as a Technology Development Scientist at Affinergy, a Postdoctoral Fellow at UC Berkeley, and a Graduate Student at the Hospital for Sick Children Research Institute.
