Gökhan Yücel currently serves as the Head of Department for Communications at the Investment Office of the Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye since July 2023. Previously, Yücel held the position of Head of Department for Strategic Communications & Crisis Management at T.C. İletişim Başkanlığı from October 2020 to July 2023. Alongside these roles, Yücel was a Guest Lecturer at both Turkish National Defense University, teaching courses on 'AI and the Military' and 'Digital Diplomacy', and at Yildiz Technical University, where the course focused on 'Strategic Communication', from October 2019 to July 2023 and February 2018 to July 2023 respectively. Additionally, Yücel is a Co-Founder of Diplomacy.Live, a platform dedicated to digital diplomacy, established in November 2015. Yücel’s educational background includes Executive Education in Public Leadership from Harvard Kennedy School in 2012 and a D.Phil. in Politics and International Relations from the University of Oxford.
