Eric Chernin

Eric Chernin has extensive work experience in the legal field. Eric is currently working as the Director of Investments Legal at the Investment Management Corporation of Ontario (IMCO), a position they have held since December 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Bennett Jones LLP, where they started as a Student-at-Law (Articling Student) in June 2012 and later became an Associate in June 2013. Eric remained with Bennett Jones LLP until their move to IMCO in December 2022.

Eric Chernin has an extensive education history. Eric obtained a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from York University - Osgoode Hall Law School from 2008 to 2012. During the same period, they also earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the Schulich School of Business - York University, specializing in Strategic Management, International Business, and Entrepreneurial Studies. Additionally, they participated in a semester exchange program at The University of Hong Kong in 2011 and a summer exchange program at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem in 2009. Chernin holds a B.B.A. Specialist Honours Administrative Studies (General) Degree with Distinction, specializing in Finance, from the Schulich School of Business - York University, which they obtained from 2004 to 2008. Eric has also obtained certifications as an admitted lawyer from the Law Society of Ontario in 2021 and the Law Society of Alberta in 2013.
