Youssef Aroub has a diverse work experience in various industries and roles. Youssef began their career as an Engineering Intern at Boeing in 2011 before moving on to Rolls-Royce, where they held positions as an Operations Management Leadership Program participant and later as an Operations Team Manager. Aroub then transitioned to working at Amazon as a Senior Product Manager and Graduate Research Fellow.
In 2018, Aroub joined the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where they were involved in multiple roles. At MIT Sloan School of Management, they served as the MIT Africa Innovate Conference Chair, organizing a forum that brought together entrepreneurs and change-agents focused on Africa. Youssef also worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant for the Competitive Strategy course.
Aroub's next career move was at the Boston Consulting Group (BCG), where they started as a Consultant in 2019 and steadily progressed to become a Project Leader. Youssef then took on the role of Senior Manager at BCG's Centre for Canada's Future, collaborating with Canadian organizations to address pressing national issues.
Currently, Aroub is working at the Investment Management Corporation of Ontario (IMCO), holding the position of Principal in Value Creation and later transitioning to Senior Principal in Sustainable Investing in 2023.
Youssef Aroub holds a Master of Science (SM) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), which they obtained from 2017 to 2019. During the same period, they also pursued a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree with a focus on Strategy & Operations from the MIT Sloan School of Management. Prior to this, Youssef attended the University of Manitoba, where they completed a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2013. Additionally, they obtained a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification from Rolls-Royce in 2014.
