Adam Hayes

Adam Hayes, PhD, CFA, currently serves as a Professor of Sociology at the University of Lucerne, a position held since July 2025, and as an Assistant Professor of Sociology at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem since 2021. With a robust background in finance and economic sociology, Adam has contributed significant expertise as the Finance & Economics Editor at Investopedia since 2013, writing articles and producing content on various related topics. Adam has held previous academic roles, including Researcher and Lecturer at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and Senior Lecturer at the University of Nicosia, focusing on blockchain and digital currencies. As a co-founder of ChainLink, Adam worked on innovative blockchain solutions before moving into private wealth management at multiple firms.
