Benoit Girard

Benoit Girard, MBA, CFA, serves as Senior Director of Venture Capital, Innovation, and Impact Investment at Investissement Québec since September 2019, with prior roles as Director and Senior Investment Manager in the same department. Notable investment experience includes Series B funding for Algolux (acquired by Torc Robotics) and Leddartech, as well as Series A for Breathe Life and Emma. Benoit has also held Non-Executive Director and Observer roles in various companies, including Algolux, Breathe Life, and Eocycle. Before joining Investissement Québec, Benoit was a Principal at Imagine Capital Group, focusing on fintech and insurtech early-stage venture capital. Prior experience encompasses over nine years at Stanton Asset Management Inc. and roles at National Bank of Canada and RBC Dominion Securities. Benoit holds an MBA from IE Business School and a Bachelor of Commerce from Concordia University with a focus on finance and financial accountancy.
