David Bannish has a diverse work experience spanning several years. David worked as an Engineering Manager and System Engineer with Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) from 2015 onwards. Before that, they were a Recruiter with Invictus International Consulting in 2014. David also worked as a Reactor Compartment Engineer with Electric Boat for a few months in 2015. David was a System Engineering Manager with the U.S. Coast Guard from 2013 to 2014, and before that, they were on an Advanced Education Duty with Naval Postgraduate School from 2011 to 2013. David began their professional journey as an Engineer Officer In Training with the U.S. Coast Guard in 2009 after graduating from the U.S. Coast Guard Academy, where they had completed their four-year tenure as a Cadet from 2005 to 2009.
David Bannish attended the US Coast Guard Academy from 2005 to 2009, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering. From 2011 to 2013, they earned a Master of Science (MS) degree in Mechanical/Naval Engineering from the Naval Postgraduate School and a Phase 1 Certification in Joint Professional Military Education from the U.S. Naval War College. In 2017, they also obtained an ENG Level III certification from Defense Acquisition University and holds a PM Level 1 certification from the same institution.
