Gene Y.

Gene Y. has over 20 years of work experience, starting from their role as the Managing Partner/Administrative Director at Tanner & Yee Adverting and Design from 1994 to 2000. Gene then worked for NETCOM as an Operations Officer from 2000 to 2003. After that, they served as the Information Systems Officer/Information Assurance Network Manager for the 85th Division from 2003 to 2006 and later as the Communications Chief for the Combat Support Coordination Team, US 8th Army, from 2006 to 2009. From 2009 to 2010, Gene served as the Chief, Force Management Branch for US 8th Army G3 (Operations) and as the Deputy CIO/G-6 for US 8th Army G6 (CIO) from 2010 to 2011. In 2011, they started working at the Department of the Army as an Enterprise Architect/IT Portfolio Manager/Data Manager. Gene joined Cleared Solutions Inc. in 2015 as a Senior Consultant for four months before moving to CACI International Inc as an Information Security Engineer, Principal from 2016 to May 2018. Gene is currently working at Invictus International Consulting LLC as an Information Assurance Project Manager from May 2018 to the present time.

Gene Y. obtained a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Texas Tech University in 1988. In 2003, they attended the Army Command and General Staff College to complete the Command and General Staff Officer Course. From 2010 to 2012, they earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Trident University International, specializing in Military Management. Gene then pursued an Architect Program in Enterprise Architecture at the National Defense University, completing it in 2014. Gene Y. also has various certifications, including the ITIL Foundation Certificate from EXIN in 2017, Network+ from CompTIA in 2005, and CASP from CompTIA in 2016.
