Simon Strano

Simon Strano is a seasoned engineering professional specializing in drilling and completions, with over 7 years of experience in drilling engineering and additional expertise in reservoir and production engineering. Currently serving as a Senior Drilling Engineer at Invictus Energy Limited since September 2022, Simon previously held similar positions at Buru Energy and Santos Ltd, contributing to significant projects such as the Phase 1 appraisal planning for the Rafael gas discovery. Simon’s diverse experience includes various roles at companies like PTTEP Australasia and Vermilion Energy, highlighting a robust background in the oil and gas sector. Academically, Simon holds a Bachelor of Engineering with Honours and a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Oil & Gas Engineering and Chemistry from The University of Western Australia, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Curtin University.
