John Samplaski has over 5 years of professional experience in the IT and security fields. From 2015 to 2018, they worked as a Systems Administrator/QM Specialist at Mayvin®, where they guided selection and implementation of technology solutions, authored policies and procedures relating to cybersecurity, and provided ongoing troubleshooting for over 150 end users in multiple locations. From 2018 to 2020, they worked as a Field Technician II at General Dynamics Information Technology, where they installed, operated, maintained, repaired, and modified a variety of technical equipment, integrated systems and subsystems, and software. Since 2020, they have been employed at IOMAXIS as an Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM), where they act as both the Systems Administrator and the Information Systems Security Manager for secure information systems (IS). In this role, they work closely with the FSO to develop and oversee operation information systems security implementation policy and guidelines, and oversees all users accessing the secure IS.

John Samplaski obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Applied Information Technology from George Mason University between 2013 and 2016. John has also obtained several certifications, including The Six Morning Habits of High Performers from LinkedIn in May 2021, CompTIA Network+ ce Certification from CompTIA in November 2021, CompTIA CySA+ ce Certification from CompTIA in October 2020, CompTIA Security Analytics Professional – CSAP Stackable Certification from CompTIA in October 2020, CompTIA Security+ ce Certification from CompTIA in January 2018, and CompTIA A+ ce Certification from CompTIA in February 2012.
