Joshua McConnell

Joshua McConnell has worked in a variety of roles in the technology and security industries. In 2021, they began working as a Cyber Security Engineer for IOMAXIS. In this role, they prepare current event assessments, utilizes threat intelligence and exploitation techniques to analyze computer systems, networks, and web applications, and effectively discusses cybersecurity topics with managers, executives, analysts, engineers, and stakeholders. Prior to this, they worked as a Cyber Systems Operator for the Air National Guard in 2018, an Administrative Officer, DHS CISO for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security in 2021, a Cyber Engineer for the Defense Health Agency in 2020, an Information Technology Manager for Choice Baptist Church in 2018, and an Emerging Technology Advisor for Best Buy in 2017.

Joshua McConnell attended Mountain View High School and graduated with an Honor's Diploma. Joshua then attended the University of Maryland, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Cyber Security Management & Policy in 2021. In addition, they obtained a CompTIA Security+ Certification from CompTIA in April 2020 and holds a TS/SCI Clearance from the United States Department of Defense.
