Ajay Popat

Ajay Popat began their work experience in 1983 at Pidilite Industries, where they worked as the All India Sales Manager for Industrial Resins and Adhesives until 1994. In the same year, they joined Ion Exchange India Ltd as Vice President and later became President. In 2005, they joined Ion Exchange Waterleau Ltd as CEO, where they served until 2014.

Ajay Popat holds a Masters in Marketing Management from the Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai, which they completed from 1985 to 1989. Ajay also earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Bhavan's NM Institute of Science between 1976 and 1980. Additionally, they pursued a Fellowship in Plastics and Polymer Technology at the Indian Plastics Institute from 2008 to 2009. Popat holds a secondary school certificate from Holy Family High School in Andheri, Mumbai, India, obtained from 1973 to 1976. Ajay also acquired a degree in Plastics Technology (LPRI) from the Plastics and Rubber Institute, UK, starting in 1981 and concluding in 1983. Furthermore, they completed an additional Masters in Marketing Management from Mumbai University from 1985 to 1989. Ajay Popat has recently obtained the certification of Certified Corporate Director from the Institute of Directors, India in 2021.
