Matthew McDonnell

Matthew McDonnell is an experienced professional with a strong background in client experience and product delivery. Currently serving as the Head of Client Experience at ION since June 2021, Matthew manages a global client support team of 80 staff across seven countries, providing support for over 30 products in the banking and financial services sector. Prior to this role, Matthew was the Head of Delivery at Acuris, overseeing the launch of more than 50 new features and products annually for a leading financial intelligence firm. Matthew also held the position of Project Manager at Centrica, where responsibilities included managing a significant multi-system migration to SAP CRM/IS-U. Earlier in the career, Matthew was the Head of Search and Product Manager at BBC, guiding the development of various web products for one of the world's most prominent content sites. Academically, Matthew holds a degree in IHS, specializing in Philosophy, Psychology, and Literature from the University of Bradford.
