Guru Raghav Raman

Senior Controls Engineer at ION Mobility

Guru Raghav Raman has a diverse range of work experience in the field of electrical and computer engineering. Guru Raghav started their career as an Undergraduate Student Researcher at the National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli, where they focused on implementing Global Maximum Power Point Tracking (GMPPT) control for Photovoltaic (PV) Systems and worked on detecting partial shading in a PV string.

In 2015, Guru Raghav Raman furthered their research experience as a Research Intern at the Institute for Photovoltaics, University of Stuttgart. This position was funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).

Continuing their academic pursuits, Guru Raghav Raman joined the National University of Singapore in 2016 as a Doctoral Student and President's Graduate Fellow. Guru Raghav pursued a Ph.D. in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, specializing in the Power and Energy track. During their time at NUS, they also served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant, providing guidance to M.S. students in their final year projects. Additionally, they took on the role of Head of Marketing for the NUS ECE Graduate Student Council from 2017-2018.

In 2020, Guru Raghav Raman joined the Singapore-ETH Centre as a Research Fellow. Their responsibilities included investigating the impact of renewable energy penetration and consumer behavior on the resilience of power grids and critical infrastructure systems. Guru Raghav also gained experience in grant proposal development, project management, budgeting, and reporting.

Guru Raghav Raman's most recent work experience is as a Senior Controls Engineer at ION Mobility, starting in 2023.

Guru Raghav Raman completed their Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli, from 2012 to 2016. Guru Raghav then pursued further education at the National University of Singapore, where they completed their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Electrical and Computer Engineering from 2016 to 2020.
