Alexander Kukay, PhD has a wealth of experience in the field of physics. Alexander began their academic career in 2013 at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, where they were an Applied Physics major with a Mathematics and Liberal Arts minor. During their time at the university they held various roles, including Astrodynamics Research Assistant, Materials Science Research Assistant, Instrumentation Assistant, Robotics Research Assistant, First Year Experience Mentor, and Laboratory Teaching Assistant. In 2017, they began an Undergraduate Research Internship at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, where they focused on improving production methods and chemistries for lithium-ion batteries. Alexander also started a Graduate Teaching Assistant role at the University of North Dakota that same year, where they instructed undergraduate university and college physics courses. In 2019, they became a Doctoral Candidate at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. Most recently, in 2022, they began a role as a Battery Scientist II at Ion Storage Systems.
Alexander Kukay, PhD obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Applied Physics from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire in 2017. Alexander then went on to obtain a Master of Science in Physics from the University of North Dakota in 2019. In April 2016, they obtained a Certified LabVIEW Associate Developer certification from National Instruments. Alexander is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Energy Science and Engineering at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, which they are expected to complete in 2022.
