Geoffrey Howard

Director of Engineering at ION Storage Systems

Geoffrey Howard has worked in various engineering roles since 1995. Their first role was as an Electrical Engineer at Aura Systems, Inc., where they assisted in the development of electromagnetic solenoid controls. In 1997, they moved to AeroVironment as an Electrical Engineer, where they contributed to the development of 60kW conductive battery chargers for electric vehicles. From 1999 to 2000, Geoffrey worked as a Senior Engineer at Kino Flo Inc., where they developed high-frequency fluorescent ballast used in film and television lighting. In 2000, they joined Stanley Black & Decker, Inc. as Director for Product Innovation, where they were responsible for new product discovery for DEWALT and Craftsman brands, and planned, scheduled, financed and reported new-product revenue for executive leadership. Most recently, Geoffrey has been the Director of Engineering at Ion Storage Systems since 2022.

Geoffrey Howard obtained a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Maryland in 1995.
