Xizi Wang

Xizi Wang is a Senior Scientist in computational biology at Ionis Pharmaceuticals, Inc. since January 2024. Previously, Xizi served as a Senior Bioinformatics Scientist and Bioinformatics Scientist at Atara Biotherapeutics from October 2021 to December 2023. Xizi's academic background includes a PhD candidate position at the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California from September 2015 to September 2021, where Xizi focused on transcriptomics and epigenetics under the mentorship of Dr. Neil Segil, and contributed as a lecturer and teaching assistant in relevant courses. Xizi also gained research experience as a research intern at the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2014. Xizi holds a PhD in Development, Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine from the University of Southern California and a BS in Biotechnology from Sun Yat-sen University.
