David Mehuys

David Mehuys has extensive work experience in the field of engineering and leadership roles. David is currently the Vice President of Product Engineering at IonQ, a position they have held since March 2022. Prior to this, they worked as the Vice President of Systems Engineering at PsiQuantum from July 2020 to August 2021. From May 2002 to July 2020, they served as the Vice President of Hardware Engineering at Infinera. Before that, they were the General Manager at JDSU from February 2001 to February 2002. David'searliest work experience was at SDL Inc, where they held the position of Research Manager/Director from August 1989 to February 2001. At SDL Inc, they were involved in various research and development projects related to Raman and EDFA module product development and high-power tunable laser product line. Overall, David Mehuys has a strong background in engineering and leadership, particularly in the field of photonics and telecommunications.

David Mehuys completed their Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) degree in Engineering Physics from the University of Toronto, from 1980 to 1984. Following that, they pursued their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering at Caltech, from 1984 to 1989.
