Jay Loney

Jay Loney is a seasoned technical program manager with extensive experience in the software, hardware, and embedded systems industries. Currently serving as Principal Technical Program Manager at IonQ since December 2023, Loney is involved in planning and executing a roadmap for quantum computers. Prior to this role, Loney was Director of TPM at Envorso, assisting automakers in their transition to in-house software development. Loney's experience includes a notable tenure at Meta as a TPM Manager for the Reality Labs division, leading teams focused on augmented reality applications. At Microsoft, Loney held multiple roles spanning principal program management responsibilities for Windows devices and IoT products, as well as leadership in core operating system features. Loney's career commenced at BSQUARE and Rockwell Automation, establishing a solid foundation in technical support and training. Loney holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from The University of Akron.
