Ryan Bowler is a seasoned professional in quantum computing and optics, currently serving as the Manager of Distributed Quantum Computing at IonQ since July 2022, where leadership is provided in the development of photonic interconnect technology and system integration for large-scale quantum computing initiatives. Prior to this role, Bowler worked as a Research Scientist at EOSPACE Inc., focusing on near-to-mid IR optics and waveguide photonics while successfully managing multiple SBIR contracts. Bowler's experience also includes significant contributions as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Washington's Ultracold Molecule Lab and as a Graduate Research Assistant at the National Institute of Standards and Technology, where advancements in quantum state measurements and dynamics were achieved. Educational credentials include a PhD in Physics from the University of Colorado Boulder and a BS in Physics and Math from the University of Washington.
