Vice President - Customer R&D at Iota Communications

Vernon Crump has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries and roles. Vernon started their career at Digital Equipment Corporation, where they gained extensive experience in telecommunications supervision and various aspects of call center operations. After that, they worked at Voicecom as an Applications Engineer, providing project management support for interactive voice response applications.

Vernon then joined Glenayre Technologies as a Senior Applications Engineer, working on network-based messaging and communication systems. Vernon then transitioned to Accenture as a Consulting Manager, where they provided management consulting and technology services to clients across various industries.

Following their tenure at Accenture, Vernon worked at Amdocs as a Consulting Manager, specializing in billing software and services for telecommunications providers. Vernon then joined Cbeyond as an IT Program Manager, where they provided voice, data, mobile, and cloud services to small and medium-sized businesses.

Vernon's next role was at Acuative, where they served as the Account Manager for a national account, overseeing business and field support efforts. Vernon later joined Cbeyond again, this time as a Business Technology and Support Ops Program Manager, responsible for core road map projects.

Prior to their current role, Vernon worked at M2M Spectrum Networks as the Senior Director of Service Delivery, Network Implementation. In this role, they had overall responsibility for operationalizing solution delivery and support services.

Currently, Vernon is the Vice President of Customer R&D at Iota, where they serve as the interface between Sales and Marketing and the Network and Software development organizations, coordinating and project-managing new solutions development.

Throughout their career, Vernon has demonstrated strong leadership and project management skills, delivering innovative solutions and managing teams to achieve operational excellence.

Vernon Crump attended DeVry Institute of Technology - Atlanta from 1982 to 1984, where they obtained an Associates degree in Communication Technologies. Additionally, they pursued a degree in Engineering Technology with a focus on Telecommunications Management at the same institution, although specific start and end years for this degree were not provided.
