Elham Makhmali

Elham Makhmali is a seasoned professional in drug safety operations with extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Currently serving as Senior Director and Head of Drug Safety Operations at Iovance Biotherapeutics, Inc. since March 2020, Elham has previously held significant roles at Gilead Sciences from February 2009 to March 2020, including Associate Director of Risk Management, Pharmacovigilance and Epidemiology. Prior experiences include positions at Bayer Health Care Pharmaceuticals Inc. and Lise Watier Cosmétiques, where Elham focused on drug safety and research and development. Elham holds a DESS in Drug Development - Clinical Research from Université de Montréal and a Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from the University of Regensburg, Germany.
