Nathan Smithey

Nathan Smithey is an experienced mortgage banker currently serving as the Senior Vice President of Production at Iowa Bankers Mortgage Corporation since July 2012, where support is provided to community banks across Iowa and surrounding states. Previously, from April 2007 to July 2012, Nathan held the position of VP Mortgage-Sales/Operations at Liberty Bank, significantly increasing revenue through effective recruiting and expense management while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Earlier experience includes working as a Mortgage Consultant/Manager at Wells Fargo Home Mortgage from July 2001 to October 2006, where Nathan led a high-performing team in conventional and government lending. Nathan holds a BA in Journalism and Mass Communication from Iowa State University, obtained between 1994 and 1997.
