Eric Checketts

Eric Checketts currently serves as a Magistrate Judge for the Iowa Judicial Branch while simultaneously operating Checketts Law, PLC, where Eric provides comprehensive legal services in estate planning, business formation, tax preparation, family law, and criminal defense. Prior experience includes roles as an Associate Attorney at A Council Bluffs Law Firm, where Eric focused on estate planning and tax preparation, and various positions during law school, including Research Assistant and Note & Comment Editor at the Journal of Corporation Law. Eric’s earlier career includes management and pricing analysis roles at US Airways and Revolution, LLC, showcasing significant expertise in operations and business management. Eric holds a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Iowa College of Law and a Bachelor of Science in Business Finance from Brigham Young University - Idaho.
