Jordan Bahnsen has a diverse work experience in marketing and communications. They began their career as a Marketing Intern at Geonetric in 2005, where they contributed to CMS training guides, press releases, and email marketing campaigns. They then transitioned to the role of Content Administrator at Geonetric, where they developed and maintained websites, wrote and edited web content and training materials, and coordinated speaking engagements and trade shows.
In 2007, Jordan joined Hills Bank and Trust Company as a Marketing Communications, Commercial Assistant. Here, they generated new commercial loans through marketing campaigns, implemented an email marketing program, and utilized direct mail to increase participation in bank programs.
In 2009, Jordan worked at Middle Child Marketing as The Middle Child, contributing to marketing efforts until 2014. They then joined Des Moines University as an AHEC Data & Information Coordinator, where they developed and maintained content for program websites, directed marketing efforts, and created a consistent brand across all regions. They later took on the role of Communications Associate at Des Moines University, designing marketing materials and writing articles for various publications.
From 2016 to 2017, Jordan worked at Two Rivers Marketing as a Content Creator, and from 2017 to 2020, they served as a Content Strategist before being promoted to Senior Content Strategist at Spinutech. In these roles, they developed content strategies, managed marketing campaigns, and provided strategic guidance for clients.
Currently, Jordan holds the position of Marketing Manager at Iowa Public Radio, where they oversee marketing initiatives.
Jordan Bahnsen attended The University of Iowa Tippie College of Business from 2001 to 2005, where they obtained a BBA degree in Marketing. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications including the HubSpot Content Marketing Certification and HubSpot Email Marketing Certification from HubSpot Academy in April 2021 and March 2021 respectively. They also hold the Google Analytics Certification from Google obtained in December 2017, and the Google Mobile Sites Certification from Google obtained in January 2018.
