Jennifer Kruger

Jennifer Kruger is the current Vice President of Academic Affairs at Iowa Western Community College. Jennifer has been in this role since January 2019.

Prior to their current position, Jennifer was an artist with Leopold Gallery & Art Consulting from January 2019 to December 2022. Before that, they were with Kiechel Fine Art Gallery.

Jennifer's first job was as a freelance illustrator with the NY Times from January 2014 to December 2014. Jennifer then transitioned into academia, serving as art faculty at Central Community College from January 2013 to December 2015, Interlochen Center for the Arts from January 2012 to December 2013, and Craven Community College from January 2010 to December 2015. Jennifer began their teaching career at Carteret Community College from January 2008 to December 2009.

Jennifer Kruger began their educational career by studying visual arts at the Interlochen Arts Academy, a high school for the arts. Jennifer then went on to study painting at Washington University in St. Louis, where they earned their bachelor's degree. After graduation, Jennifer enrolled in a studio art program at the University of Pennsylvania. During their time there, they also took classes in illustration and earned their master's degree from the School of Visual Arts. Finally, Jennifer completed their Ph.D. in leadership from the University of the Cumberlands.

They work with Donald Kohler - VP, Marketing & Public Relations, Edwin Holtz - VP, Management Services, and Molly Noon - VP, Institutional Advancement. Jennifer Kruger reports to Daniel Kinney, President.
