Tobin J.M. Richardson is chief executive officer for the Zigbee Alliance, which develops and promotes world-leading open, global standards for the Internet of Things. In this role, he works closely with worldwide brands and market-changing innovators to steer worldwide IoT agendas with industry-leading consumer electronics, industrial, and commercial companies.

Tobin has more than two decades of experience in executive leadership, strategy, and development for technology firms and organizations. His career spans large-scale technology implementations, new service and product rollouts, and transformational change in Fortune 500 companies and world-leading firms. He serves in a number of industry leadership roles, including co-chair of NAESB’s energy usage information standards committee.
