Kathy Wong has extensive experience in the field of patent examination and management, currently serving as Assistant General Manager of People and Culture at IP Australia since August 2004. Throughout their career, Kathy has held various leadership roles, including Director of Patent Examination Pharmaceuticals and Project Manager for the Quality Review Improvement Project, which aimed to transform quality approaches within the organization. Kathy contributed to the award-winning RPET Mentoring Project, an online training program designed to enhance patent examination capabilities across ASEAN member countries. Prior to IP Australia, Kathy worked as a Patent Examiner for the Australian Government Department of Education and Training and held roles in research at Sola Optical and the University of Sydney. Kathy holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Polymer Science from the University of Queensland.
