Carlos Plaza has a diverse work experience spanning over multiple companies and roles. Carlos started their career in 1995 at HistoryMiami as a Manager and History Program Coordinator, where they designed and managed interactive public programs. In 1999, they founded BabelNoMore, a company focused on bilingual content development and e-learning. At BabelNoMore, Carlos collaborated with various professionals to create engaging exhibits and training programs. In 2011, they joined the American Welding Society as an Associate Director of Education Services, leading a team in developing online courses. Carlos also worked at the Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science as a Manager of Visitor Experience and an Exhibit Developer, where they designed interactive programs and translated exhibits. Currently, Carlos is the Senior Director of Education at IPC, where they oversee the educational development and resource creation for the electronics industry.

Carlos Plaza completed their Master of Arts in Instructional Design and Technology from the University of Central Florida during the period of 2017-2020. Before that, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and Affairs from Florida International University. In addition to their degrees, Carlos Plaza also obtained a certification in Measuring Learning Effectiveness from LinkedIn in July 2023.
