Marc Foulon

Chief Operating Officer at Information and Privacy Commissioner of Ontario

Marc Foulon has extensive work experience in various government organizations in Ontario. Marc most recently worked as the Chief Operating Officer at the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Ontario, starting in October 2022. Prior to this role, Marc served as the Assistant Deputy Minister of the Conservation and Renewable Energy Division at the Ontario Ministry of Energy and as the Director of LDC-ON. From 2017 to 2020, they held positions in the Ontario Cabinet Office, including Executive Lead for Real Estate Optimization and Director of Corporate Services. Before that, Marc worked in roles related to IT, finance, and controllership in organizations such as the Ontario Ministry of Finance, Ontario Treasury Board Secretariat, Ontario Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services, and Ontario Ministry of Transportation. Their experience also includes managing and leading various projects and teams.

Marc Foulon completed their Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree in Finance, General from the University of Windsor from 1993 to 1997. Marc later pursued a Masters Business Administration degree in Business/Commerce, General from California Coast University, which they completed in 2002. In addition to their academic qualifications, they also obtained several certifications, including Boardroom Financial Essentials from the Institute of Corporate Directors in 2018, NFP Governance Essentials Program from the same institution in 2017, Leadership Enrichment and Advancement Program from York University in 2016, and ITIL Service Management Expert Designation from Global Knowledge in 2008.
