Electrical Design Engineer

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will support the design team by demonstrating proficiency in ASP3 and power system designs, along with a strong understanding of the associated software requirements. We are looking for someone who can apply logical, creative, and lateral thinking skills to solve complex challenges.

Reporting to the Electrical Design Engineer, this position will be based at our Campbelltown office.

About the role:

• Developing and delivering ASP Level 3 CAD designs following Ausgrid, Endeavour and Essential Energy standards.
• Supporting and designing EV / Water infrastructure, including private HV & LV power system.
• Interpreting specifications, drawings, standards and regulations relating to electric power equipment and use. Have an understanding of relevant design standards and project management of the design phase.
• Reviewing, interpreting and approving engineering drawings and specifications; including circuits, transformers, circuit-breakers etc.
• Detailed drafting on AutoCAD.
• Establishing delivery and installation schedules for machines, switchgear, cables and fittings
• Quality control of design solutions to meet standards

About you:

• Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical) degree or an equivalent qualification.

• Design experience in EV charging station, BESS or other relevant electrical infrastructure projects.

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in ASP Level 3 design.

• Demonstrated knowledge of Australian regulations and standards.

• Experience with power system software such as SKM or ETAP preferred

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Neara and relevant design software.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Experience in dealing with DNSP would be preferred.

• An energetic, driven and self-motivated attitude

• A current driver's license
