Omar Faruk has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Omar began their career as a Sales Engineer at Mobil Jamuna Lubricants Bangladesh Limited, where they were responsible for sales of industrial grade lubricants and grease in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Omar then transitioned to Siemens Bangladesh Limited, where they worked as a Sales & Project Management Professional in the Power and Gas sector. In this role, they focused on business development and project management for power generation technology projects. Omar later served as a Project Manager at ZTE Corporation, overseeing a grid-connected solar project for the Bangladesh Power Development Board. Omar then worked as a Customer Service Officer for Yarra Trams and as a Project Engineer at Ventia Pty Ltd, where they contributed to the construction administration and delivery of various projects. Omar also gained experience in the public sector, serving as an Authorised Officer at the Department of Health & Human Services and later as an Authorised Officer at the Department of Justice and Community Safety in Victoria. Currently, they hold the position of Business Development Manager at IPD, where they are responsible for managing key stakeholders in the HVACR market and driving business revenue in Victoria.
Omar Faruk's education history began in 1998 at Notre Dame College, where they pursued Grade-11 and 12 (I. Sc.) in the field of Science. From 2002 to 2007, they attended the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology, earning a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering. In 2011, Omar Faruk enrolled at the University of Dhaka, completing a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree with a focus on Marketing in 2013. Thus, they hold a total of two master's degrees: one in Mechanical Engineering and another in Business Administration with a specialization in Marketing.
