Juliette Seibold

Principal Associate, Social and Economic Empowerment at IPE Global Limited

Juliette Seibold is a social-policy and gender specialist. She has more than 25 years of experience on programmes that support civil society's voice and empowerment in Africa, Asia and the Middle East.

Juliette oversees programme design and implementation, having extensive experience in political analysis, gender analysis, social inclusion, civil society approaches, strategic engagement, communications and advocacy. She is Team Leader for the Learning, Information and Communications Hub that supports the Department for International Development's (DFID's) Africa regional Empowerment and Accountability Programme which spans across 34 countries in Africa. She is also the Team Leader for Learning on Civil Society Grant Funds managed by IPE Triple Line. She has worked with a range of donors to mainstream gender and social inclusion in sector programmes addressing education, health, water and sanitation and livelihoods. In addition, she specialises in capacity strengthening support to civil society organisations on monitoring and evaluation, governance and rights-based approaches and has designed programmes in Africa, Asia and the Middle East. She has a strong research background with skills in qualitative and quantitative approaches. Prior to joining IPE Triple Line, she was associated with DFID, UN agencies (UNICEF, UNDP), Civil Society Organisations overseeing large NGOs such as CARE, Oxfam and Save the Children. She previously led CARE's regional policy and advocacy programme to protect Palestinians' rights and livelihoods.

Juliette Seibold holds a Master's in Gender and Development from the Institute of Development Studies, University of Sussex. She also has a Certificate in Teaching Primary Health Care from the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine and a DiplômeCivilisationFrançaise from L'Université Paris-Sorbonne, France.
