Roger Dowd has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Roger started their career as an Engineer at General Scanning, Inc. in 1985 and later moved on to become a Program Manager/Business Development at the same company. Roger then worked as a Productline Manager and General Manager, Life Sciences at GSI Lumonics, where they played a key role in the successful sale of the Life Sciences business unit. Following this, Dowd served as the President/CEO of Decision Biomarkers, Inc., leading the company in launching a next-generation platform for protein biomarker analysis. Roger then went on to become the CEO of Biotrofix, a premier contract research organization specializing in preclinical models of CNS and cardiovascular disease. Dowd also held positions as a Member of the Board of Directors at Firefly Bioworks and as the CEO of Boston Microfluidics. In 2013, they joined Zaiput Flow Technologies as a member of the Business Advisory Board. Most recently, Dowd has been serving as the Director of Engineering at IPG Photonics, where they are responsible for the development of laser-based capital equipment.
Roger Dowd received a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Northeastern University in 1991.
