Lewis Liu has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Lewis is currently the Managing Partner at IPG-CEL China Ventures, a joint venture between IP Group plc and China Everbright Limited. Prior to that, they worked as a Venture Partner at Kiko Ventures. Lewis also served as the Managing Director, Greater China at IP Group plc and as a Non-Executive Director at Helio Display Materials and Bramble Energy Limited. Lewis has also been involved with the UK Tsinghua Association in various roles, including Secretary General and Deputy President. Lewis founded and served as the CEO of Camlogue and worked as a Management Consultant for IP Group portfolio companies. Additionally, they have had research and business development roles at the University of Cambridge and Plessey respectively.

- In 2005, they received an International Fellowship in Physics from The Chinese University of Hong Kong.
- From 2007 to 2011, Lewis pursued a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Materials Science at the University of Cambridge.
- In 2017, they attended London Business School for an Executive Education program. The field of study for this program is not specified.
